Council adopts committee reports: tavern license revoked, Deco outdoor hours extended, multiple operator licenses renewed

The West Allis Common Council voted to adopt committee reports that implemented several licensing and permitting recommendations, including revocation of a class B tavern license for Stuffick LLC and approval of a seasonal outdoor dining and entertainment extension for The Deco at 7140 West Greenfield Avenue with an amended Sunday hour limit.

The action to revoke the class B tavern license (ALC22130) for Stuffick LLC was moved by Alderwoman Kirschle and adopted at the public safety committee; the clerk recorded nine votes in favor and none opposed in the committee roll call. The council later adopted committee reports by roll call.

The council also adopted the Public Works Committee recommendation to amend a privilege agreement with Walter Holtz of The Deco (resolution 2025-0637), adding a requirement for an accessible restroom between 6 a.m. and midnight (either in-building or a temporary facility) and removing a duplicative special-event permit requirement for some Friday and Saturday uses. The Economic Development and Public Safety committees recommended approval of a related seasonal temporary premise and entertainment extension for The Deco; the final extension approved included an amendment limiting Sunday outdoor entertainment hours to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Several operator and bartender license renewals and approvals came before committees and were approved: Nathan McFadden (class D operator renewal), David Enzer Jr. (class C operator renewal), and Rhonda Koloff (class D operator renewal). Committees discussed licensing-related concerns during consideration: the committee noted that David Enzer Jr. has a recent OWI and that his driver's license is revoked but that he completed a 21-hour safety class at MATC; Rhonda Koloff was questioned about two underage-sale citations in 2023 and 2024 while working at the same establishment and was warned that further offenses could jeopardize renewal.

Other council business adopted from committee included the consent agenda (approved with item 24 held for referral) and multiple routine license matters. The council adjourned and set the next meeting for Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
