Nevada regulators approve Merkur Group acquisition of Gaming Arts with compliance conditions

The boardrecommended approval after hearing a 40-minute presentation describing Merkur.com AGand the Gaussmann family foundation, the company's governance structure and compliance plans. Board members said they were impressed by the group's size, global operations and an explicit compliance plan the company had submitted for review.
Why it matters: the acquisition brings a major European gaming maker into Nevada through a local operating company, Gaming Arts.
