The Lakeville Board of Health on May 7 approved a change of ownership for an existing restaurant and approved a mobile food permit for a new food truck, subject to inspection.
Board members voted to issue a new food establishment license and a milk and cream license to Saint Joseph and Saint Rita Corp doing business as Fat Cousins at 166 County Street. The board noted the business is an established restaurant, ownership is changing but the name and most employees are expected to remain the same. The board said an inspection will follow the paperwork already submitted.
The board also approved a year‑round mobile food permit for Adobo Public Republic LLC. Ed, the Board of Health agent, said the food truck plans to begin service at Elliott Farms on May 15 and that the town will conduct an inspection before the truck begins operations. The permit allows the truck to operate at Elliott Farms and other private properties with the property owner’s permission.
Both motions passed by voice vote. The board recorded ayes and moved on to additional agenda business.
