Oro Valley principal planner Malini Seung told the Planning and Zoning Commission on May 6 that town staff will release a 30% draft of the town’s 10‑year plan, called Oro Valley’s Path Forward, ahead of the commission’s June study session.
Seung said the update summarizes work by resident working groups and other outreach that began in October 2023 and continued through Phase I and Phase II of the project. “The purpose of this presentation is to update you all on the resident working group's effort to create Ovi's path forward, which will be the community's next 10 year plan,” Seung said.
Why it matters: the general plan’s land-use map and associated goals guide rezoning, future infrastructure, and policy decisions. Seung told commissioners the plan is intended to represent resident priorities first while incorporating input from business, environment and recreation stakeholders.
