Brazosport ISD seeks approval for two‑lane stacking lane, gated entry and landscape changes at middle school on 92 Lake Road

Brazosport ISD representatives told the City of Lake Jackson planning body they will add a two‑lane stacking lane that merges to one lane, a motorized sliding gate with a Knox box for emergency access, and additional landscaping at the middle school located at 92 Lake Road. The planning body approved the administrative and final review of the site‑plan amendment filed May 6, 2025, by voice vote.

The change responds to traffic congestion during student pickup. Miriam Castillo of BLK Architects said, “Basically, we're adding a double stacking lane to the existing school.
