The board approved a $56,620 supplement to a previously approved engineering services agreement with Schummer Associates for construction administration work on the county’s asphalt overlays project (Project C77-24-01). County engineering staff tied the administration supplement to the earlier engineering agreement the board authorized in October 2024.
The board also awarded the construction contract for the various asphalt overlays (Project C77-24-01) to Oldcastle Materials Midwest Company, doing business as Omni Engineering, for the low bid of $853,896.15. County staff said work is expected to begin in June and be completed within 25 working days, with an anticipated completion date no later than Aug. 7, 2025 — the first day of school for Bellevue Public Schools. The overlay work covers several stretches called out by staff, including portions of 20th Street and 80th Street (detailed route maps were referenced in staff materials).
