"We'll get that information to you and we'll have it before the school year starts," the superintendent said, and staff set a tentative July board meeting as the target for a draft that converts goals into yearly checkpoints.
Board members repeatedly urged that goals be measurable and visually simple — the superintendent and staff agreed: the plan will break broad goals into year-by-year milestones so the board can quickly assess progress. Executive staff and departments were identified as contributors: finance and growth (Brent and Craig), staffing (Lyle), communications (Cody), and professional development and departments for operational input.
No specific policy decisions were made; the superintendent said staff will supply the template and begin soliciting board input this summer so the plan can be used as a starting instrument for the next school year.
