Skagit County Public Works’ equipment division opened bids for an oil tank cleaning contract for the county road department and received a single bid of $72,492 from Clean Harbors, county staff said.
Jason Bloodgood, equipment division representative for Skagit County Public Works, said, “We've received 1 bid from Clean Harbors. And the bid amount is $72,492.” Bloodgood introduced Jamie Paris and said the division would read the bid results into the record.
Bloodgood said staff will review the proposal, post the bid results on the county website by the end of the week and seek an award resolution signed by the county commissioners on or before May 19. No award was made at the bid opening.
The contract is for oil tank cleaning to be used by the Skagit County Road Department, according to Bloodgood. Staff did not provide additional details about contract length, funding sources or evaluation criteria during the bid-opening remarks.
Next steps, as stated by county staff, are a formal review of the bid, public posting of the results and presentation of an award resolution to the county commissioners by May 19.
