Board approves routine business: minutes, claims, permits and tax exemptions

At the May 5 meeting the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners took several routine actions during the consent and administrative sections of the agenda.
The board unanimously approved the minutes of the April 28, 2025 commissioners meeting and the April 28, 2025 Lincoln County Board of Equalization minutes.
The board approved claims and the treasurer’s receipts under blanket approval subject to the chair’s usual right to pull any questionable claim for separate consideration.
The board authorized the chair to sign a right‑of‑way permit submitted by Allo Communications for work in the Maloney Highlands/North Lake/Highland area; county staff reported no objection from the road department and recorded a permit fee payment of $824.48 for the application before the board.
The county assessor submitted a certificate of correction and refund for a mobile home sale and removal from the county roll at 2011 West Second Street; commissioners approved authorization for appropriate signatures for the certificate totaling $1,254.26 in taxes for 2025 as presented.
The county treasurer presented motor vehicle tax exemption applications recommended for approval: Mission Life Incorporated (2002 Nissan pickup, charitable use) and Bethel Evangelical Free Church (2016 cargo trailer, religious use). Both exemptions were approved by vote.
The Board recessed briefly to convene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization, approved the board of equalization minutes, and then reconvened as the Board of Commissioners to continue business.
All routine items noted above were approved by roll call.
