The board approved the appointment of Andrew Frazier as director of curriculum, instruction and assessment for the high school level. Board materials noted Frazier has more than 21 years in education, including 16 years as a school site administrator and recent experience at Valley Vista and Sonoran.
The board also approved Amy Crow as interim principal at Freedom (elementary) for the 2025‑26 school year. Staff described Crow as having about 19 years in education, including two years in administrative roles in the district.
Finally, the board approved Michael Barola as interim assistant principal/athletic director at Willow Canyon High School for the 2025‑26 school year; staff said Barola has more than 17 years in education, previously served four years as an athletic director in another district, and has been teaching physical education in Dysart for two years.
Each appointment was presented by district administration and was approved by motion; the meeting record shows each motion carried.
