Twin Valley begins districtwide intercom review and technology audit by Berks County Intermediate Unit

The Twin Valley School District’s technology committee reported on May 12 that the district is reevaluating an intercom system for TBEC and other buildings and that a technology audit by the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) is underway.
Technology staff said they and vendor representatives revisited an intercom proposal for the Twin Valley Elementary Center and will expand the review to other buildings to develop a phased, districtwide implementation plan. Trustees were told staff will return with recommendations on scope and rollout.
The BCIU-led audit will assess personnel, equipment and network infrastructure. District staff said the audit team has met with district staff, will conduct focus groups and administer student surveys during flex periods at the high school. The audit team expects to deliver a final report in June.
Board members asked for follow-up once the committee has a long-term plan and cost estimates for intercom and infrastructure improvements.
