Several residents from a Lakeville homeowners association told the City Council on May 5 that people are repeatedly accessing the pond behind their homes, entering HOA property and invading residents’ privacy.
Catherine Kane, a registered nurse who lives at 17358 Eloqua Avenue, said neighbors have called police three times in four days and that people fishing at the pond have “trespass[ed] on our HOA private property, urinate[d] in plain sight, and leave garbage.” She said some visitors have targeted wildlife and that teens have “stare[d] in and wave[d]” at residents’ windows. “We feel pretty threatened, intimidated,” Kane said.
