Campbell also said she holds a STAR certification in rural economic development from the Alabama Department of Commerce.
"I will be throwing my hat in the ring in the Republican primary in May for that seat," Campbell said during public comment, and told commissioners she intends to be an active, local representative who listens in small communities across the district.
Commissioners responded with brief thanks and wished her luck. No questions or formal actions followed the public comment; Campbell later accepted encouragement from commissioners who noted her community-service work and small‑business experience.
