Committee accepts amended FY2024 hazardous materials grant; amends resolution to reflect prior budgeted amount

Emergency Services staff presented an amended resolution accepting fiscal year 2024 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness grant funds and the legislature approved the amended resolution.
Bonnie Peters told the committee the total grant is $16,000 with an in-kind match of $4,000 already covered in the budget. Peters said county staff had already included $10,000 in the budget in anticipation of the award and the amended resolution reflects only the additional $6,000 of grant revenue to be accepted. "So really, it should only be the additional amount over the $10,000 so the $6,000," Peters said.
Committee members moved to amend the resolution and then voted to accept the resolution as amended by voice vote; the transcript records the motion as carried without named roll-call tallies.
