Planning commission forwards septic-density amendments to public hearing

Staff and commissioners discussed definition placement (chapter 2) and the need to provide clear, printed materials and the revised language for public review. The motion directs staff to publish the revised code language and hold a public hearing; the town council will consider the ordinance after public comment.
Commissioners emphasized that the action before them was not a vote to adopt the technical density study itself but rather a vote to send clarified land-use code language to public hearing. One commissioner summarized the proposed language change as clarifying how alternative or advanced septic systems can be considered, and that any such systems would need to demonstrate through studies that they will achieve the required performance standards.
The measure passed by roll call vote; the commission instructed staff to post the updated language and study materials for public review and to schedule a public hearing.
