Kanosh council reviews draft general-plan survey and plans house-numbering and street-sign updates

Council planning and zoning presented a draft questionnaire intended to gather resident input for an update to the town’s general plan. The council was asked to review the mailed questionnaire and a digital option before approving distribution; staff will place the item on the next meeting agenda after council members submit changes.
Separately, council members discussed a set of street-name/address errors on the north end of town and agreed to solicit quotes for replacement street signs and to draft a form letter informing affected residents. The council gave staff direction to identify street intersections and speed-limit signs that need replacement or installation and told staff to collect quotes and return with a recommendation.
For house numbering, council members agreed to prepare a form letter and map of proposed numbers (starting at the north end) and to include county address-change forms and information about any fee waivers (for emergency services) in the outreach packet. The council asked staff to coordinate the outreach so residents receive clear instructions and a public meeting was suggested to discuss proposed changes.
