Levan, Utah — The Levan City Council voted to approve two residential building permits that the planning commission recommended, contingent on required wastewater permits and normal inspection milestones.
The first permit is for Hans Olsen (Main Street lot). The second permit covers a single‑family home (Briggs & Lovell) sited near the trailer park; council members described that home as a priority/spec residence for the owner and noted the planning commission’s review of lot setbacks and parcel dimensions.
Staff told the council both applicants had applied to the state wastewater office and that final approvals would be contingent on the town receiving the wastewater permits and completion of on‑site inspections. Council members confirmed the planning commission had reviewed setbacks, lot coverage and other zoning details and that the building permits comply with the commission’s recommendations.
Councilmembers moved and seconded separate motions for each permit; both motions passed on voice vote. Staff said occupancy permits will not be issued until wastewater approval and required inspections are complete.
