Arts Commission schedules grantee presentations, welcomes new staff liaison and reports on mentorship programs

The City of Ojai Arts Commission received updates on 2024 grant reporting, arts-education programming and staff changes and asked staff to advance several administrative items.
Commissioner Karina Wright reported follow-up with 15 of the 17 2024 grantees to collect required grant summary reports; two grantee contact emails remain missing, and staff will assist with the handoff. The commission extended the deadline for grant summary reports to June 1 and invited 2024 grantees to present their project summaries at the commission’s June 19 meeting. Commissioners discussed publishing grant summaries on the city website and creating an interactive, fillable form to simplify reporting; staff said the city will review available technology and staff time before implementing a fillable form.
