Carrie Ballast of workforce development said state law and administrative code require the commission to establish the advisory committee and limit it to nine members, including representatives from business and local workforce development boards. Ballast recommended reappointing Dr. Stafford, vice president of workforce and continuing education at Lamar State College, and Christina Hartman, superintendent of Wyndham School District. "If approved, their terms will be extended to May of 2027," Ballast said.
A motion to appoint the two members passed unanimously.
