Mayor Mary Anne Dennis and other council members were on hand for the ceremony.
City staff said the certificates reflect results of the general election held May 3, 2025. Multiple elected officials completed the required oath and signed statements of office during the meeting; witnesses and family attended the ceremony.
Mayor Dennis invited Councilwoman Green to address the council after the oath; Green called it “an honor and a privilege to serve” and thanked family and supporters in the audience. Judge Phillips offered brief remarks congratulating the newly sworn officials and praising city staff and volunteers.
The council also took photographs and received congratulatory presentations from local officials and representatives who attended. The council moved on to regular business after the oath proceedings.
