Hoke County Schools staff presented the proposed student fee schedule for the 2025–26 school year on May 13, describing it as largely limited to elective courses, extracurricular activities and athletics where supplies, uniforms or competition costs are incurred.
Staff said the proposed schedule was prepared under board policy 4600, reviewed by principals for consistency and transparency, and will be posted at each school upon board approval. Importantly, administrators reiterated the district practice that “no student will be penalized, excluded, or denied participation due to financial hardship” and that families may request fee waivers or reductions through their principal.
The schedule organizes fees by school level (elementary, middle, high) and lists optional items such as Beta Club, robotics, yearbook, band and competition fees. Staff said certain fees may vary by site or be subject to external organization pricing; items marked with an asterisk may not be offered at every school.
Ending: the fee schedule was presented for board consideration; if approved the final schedule will be posted to each school and communicated to families before the new school year.
