The Town of Charlton Select Board on May 13 approved a transfer of a Class 1 motor vehicle dealer license and granted special alcoholic beverage licenses for events hosted by Timber Yard Brewing Company.
Rob McGee, identified in meeting materials as president and owner of McGee GMC Inc., sold the business to Ray Butler of Butler GMC Inc.; the board approved transfer of the Class 1 license. The board was told that paperwork was complete and that the change affects the business name and managers only.
Separately, the board reviewed applications from Timber Yard Brewing Company for special alcoholic beverage licenses for on-site wine and malt beverage service at events to be held at 508 (or 508-219) Brookfield Road. Town staff reported the applications had been reviewed and approved by the police chief, building commissioner and fire department. Per licensing policy, the board set the license dates to include the day before an event (to permit delivery), the day of the event and the day after (for pickup of leftover alcohol).
A motion to approve the dealer-license transfer and motions to approve the special alcoholic beverage licenses carried by voice vote.
The board recorded no further conditions beyond the standard departmental approvals and the multi-day license window intended to accommodate delivery and pickup.
