Jackson board approves multiple ordinances, wastewater and community center pay requests

The board unanimously approved a resolution honoring Randy Mader for his service to the village from April 2021 to April 2025, including roles on the Board of Public Works and the Budget and Finance Committee and as a village trustee. The board then approved Ordinance 25-04, amending chapter 42, section 42.83 of the village code on fire lanes; trustees suspended the rules for a second reading and adopted the ordinance the same night.
Other ordinances approved included Ordinance 25-03 (rezoning parcels for Ditmar Properties LLC), Ordinance 25-05 (amending chapter 42, section 42.86, limited parking in certain areas and loading zones) and Ordinance 25-06 (amending chapter 42, section 42.26, stop and yield intersection designation). Trustees voted to suspend the rules for second readings where appropriate and adopted each ordinance by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
On project payments and financing, the board approved pay request No. 14 for the 2024 Wastewater Treatment Plant tertiary filters and disinfection project in the amount of $224,165.80 and approved Clean Water Fund loan request No. 11 for $234,824.81 for the same wastewater project. The board also approved pay request No. 10 (documented in board materials as application No. 11) for the Jackson Community Center expansion to Moore Construction for $194,603.70; a trustee noted an administrative numbering discrepancy in the paperwork but the board voted to approve the amount.
