Public Health and Social Services staff said the report — produced by the county epidemiology team — presents a point-in-time picture of disparities through the end of 2024. Staff described a communications plan that includes social media, a press release and talking points for board members; the packet supplied to the board included a one-page summary of key points and talking points for outreach.
A board member moved to approve the report; the motion passed by voice vote. Staff said the report will be accessible online after final approval and will be updated annually to track trends and inform policy, funding and community conversations.
Staff asked board members to review the talking points and to bring questions or feedback so future iterations can be clearer and more usable to community stakeholders.
