After discussion, a motion passed to place the peace pole at an appropriate location in Pepper Branch Park, with Parks & Rec staff to work with Rotary on the exact siting and installation details.
The Rotary presenters said the pole would display the word “peace” in multiple languages and include a small explanatory marker. The clubs emphasized community and youth involvement; Interact students attended the presentation and described the project’s educational and civic purpose.
