Supervisors removed the EMPG item from the consent agenda for brief discussion before voting. County staff said communications from the state and FEMA indicate the award will likely be made at the requested level; supervisors acknowledged the ongoing federal uncertainty and noted the county’s stability fund as a back‑stop should funding change.
The motion to authorize the application passed with a voice vote; board members signified approval by saying “aye.” County staff said Emergency Management will present its department budget later in the day.
