Board acknowledges HVAC bids for justice building and receives four CM/GC RFQs for autopsy lab project

The Board acknowledged receipt of bids for HVAC updates to the justice building and opened four RFQs for a construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC) for the autopsy lab and coroner's office on May 13, 2025.
Building & Grounds Director Jeff Fuller presented two HVAC bids: Apollo Mechanical Contractors submitted a base bid of $491,249 with an add alternate of $180,683; TRM Services (Spokane Valley, Washington) submitted a base bid of $563,400 with an add alternate of about $111,000. The board moved to acknowledge receipt of those bids and forward them to legal and building & grounds for review; Commissioners Eberline, Duncan and Chair Metari voted aye.
For the CM/GC RFQ (for the autopsy lab and coroner's office), four responses were received: CORE (Boise), Swinerton (Spokane, Washington), Juno (Coeur d'Alene) and Stan Craft. The board acknowledged receipt of the four RFQs and directed legal and building & grounds to review them.
Both motions were acknowledgements to advance procurement review rather than final awards.
