Commissioners approve wide range of contracts, easements, proclamations and grants; key votes at a glance

Hidalgo County Commissioners Court and Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 voted on a large package of resolutions, contracts, procurement items, proclamations and grants during the May 13, 2025 joint meetings. Major actions included authorizing condemnation-based acquisition of easements for bond projects, expanding a pre-qualified professional engineering services pool, awarding or approving procurement and construction contracts, approving multiple grant applications, and adopting proclamations for foster care awareness, women’s health, maternal mental health, National Prevention Week and hurricane preparedness.
