Troy School District recognizes Trojan Stars students and honors 15 retirees; board hears hiring updates

Students received a small "brag bag," had their names added to a wall of fame and were featured on school announcements.
The board then recognized 15 retiring employees from across the district, which the presenter said collectively represent 398 years of service to Troy City Schools. The presenter read biographical notes for each retiree, noting employment start years, roles (classroom teachers, bus drivers, food-service staff and administrative aides) and years of service for each person acknowledged.
District staff also briefed the board on recent hiring. Several new hires were introduced or named on the agenda: Carrie (last name given on the agenda) and Angus Crite were described as recent graduates joining the junior-high staff; Jacob Wheeler, a Troy High School graduate returning from other districts, will be an intervention specialist; and Courtney Wright will join as an intervention specialist (her husband, Brandon Wright, was noted as the district's new athletic director). The district said several one-year contracts and administrative renewals were included in the personnel exhibit.
