Supervisors announce Boys & Girls Club groundbreaking in Janesville and veterans' ride homecoming

During the May 8 meeting Supervisor Sutherland and Supervisor Schneider used the communications portion of the agenda to announce upcoming community events.
Supervisor Sutherland encouraged attendance at the Boys and Girls Club groundbreaking scheduled for May 19 at 4 p.m. at the organization’s new location, 925 South Jackson Street, Janesville. “We’re all invited to the groundbreaking of the Boys and Girls Club, May nineteenth at 04:00 at their new location, which is 925 South Jackson Street, Janesville, Wisconsin,” Sutherland said.
Supervisor Schneider described the county’s Veterans’ Roll trip, scheduled for May 18–20 and departing from Central Christian Church in Beloit. Schneider said the trip honors World War II, Korean War, Cold War and Vietnam veterans and invited the public to a homecoming at Central Christian on Wednesday, May 21. “The homecoming is really something that, the whole community embraces,” Schneider said.
Both items were announcements only; no board action was taken on the events during the meeting.
