Board approves South Middle School Title I schoolwide plan; staff to continue data‑driven interventions

South Middle School leaders presented their Title I schoolwide plan on May 12; the board voted to approve the plan.

Principal Travis Veil and Title I coordinator Therese Osgarden described the school’s status as a schoolwide Title I program, the data used for accountability and the two Title I positions funded by district Title I allocations: a Title I coordinator and a student behavior interventionist. Veil said the school “uses a comprehensive approach” that addresses academic and nonacademic factors, including family engagement nights, STEM events and targeted interventions.
