Founders renovation: Work had slowed earlier because of weather, but crews resumed with irrigation trenching and piping. Staff said contractors hope to complete irrigation and place topsoil and sand by the end of May, with sod installation targeted for early June, weather permitting.
Pirate Cove shade: The shade structures have completed production and staff expect delivery in late July. Installation will require heavy equipment and is estimated to take about 9–12 days; staff said Pirate Cove Playground will be closed for the duration of construction, likely extending into mid‑August if installation begins in late July.
Parking design and RFP: Staff completed an RFP process with purchasing to select an engineer to design parking at Community and Founders parks and expect design work to begin soon.
Playgrounds: Installation at Sage Creek concluded and staff will place engineered wood fiber this week before opening the site, possibly next week. Installers will begin removing equipment at Riverway the day after the meeting and expect about a week to install new equipment, with staff then placing engineered wood fiber — both playgrounds could open later in May or early June.

Staff asked the board to expect short closures and said dumpsters and removal of old Pirate Cove equipment will start imminently. The board and staff also discussed adding pavilions near Pirate Cove in a future budget cycle.
