The subcommittee’s stated role includes developing ways to engage the public about historic preservation benefits (including tax exemptions), organizing community events such as themed tours and porch festivals, and serving as liaisons between district residents and the Historic Landmark Commission. Staff said it will support the group and that commissioners who volunteered but were not appointed could still assist as available.
The meeting opened with approval of the minutes (approved unanimously) and adjourned shortly after the subcommittee appointments.
