Portage Youth Baseball proposed installing a press box/score box at the Little League complex; the Park and Recreation Board voted to refer the proposal to the planning commission for site-plan review.
Staff described the proposed structure as a small press/score box with storage beneath, to be funded and built by Portage Youth Baseball. Staff said a conduit for electrical service is already in place in the slab, and a local donor has offered to provide electrical work. The proposal would replace a portable shed currently used for storage.
Board members asked about existing agreements; staff said Portage Youth Baseball pays for field use and that the proposed structure would fall under the existing field-use arrangement. The board moved the proposal to planning commission for formal review and site-plan approval. Roll-call votes were recorded in favor of the referral.
