The board voted to waive a second reading for an update to the district's facilities-use policy that the policy committee had reviewed. Board members described the change as formalizing an existing practice around facility scheduling and weekend use. The motion to waive the second reading was moved by Miss Bowman and seconded by Mister Rego; the board approved the motion by voice vote.
The board also approved a resolution authorizing the RIC/ROC (regional information/risk operations center) to negotiate data-privacy agreements with vendors and third parties on the district's behalf. Trustees said the measure was intended to ensure confidential student and transportation information is protected when shared with outside providers. The resolution passed by voice vote.
The board approved a consent grouping of routine business items by voice vote.
Toward the end of the meeting the board voted to adjourn the public meeting and move into an executive session to discuss matters related to the medical, financial or employment history of a particular person and collective negotiations; board members said the meeting would not return to public session.
