Staff said the cameras do not capture audio to avoid recording private conversations and to limit open‑records release risks.
Committee members asked about current coverage and access. Staff said feeds would be accessible to the department (DOS/operations center) for investigative or law-enforcement purposes upon request. The director said camera feeds are currently being tested and expected to go online within “the next week or two,” and that recorded footage will be retained for 30 days.
