Board places surplus furniture on GovDeals, delays student handbook approval for legal review

Separately, staff asked the board for additional time to complete the student handbook. The district indicated it will make the handbook available online rather than printing large quantities, and requested a short extension so legal questions raised by “Mr. Cottingham” can be reviewed. Staff committed to providing a summary sheet of changes and to bring the handbook back for action at the upcoming called meeting.
Staff said the online‑first approach will reduce printing and distribution. No final adoption vote on the student handbook was recorded in the transcript.
