The Kenai Airport Commission on May 8 recommended that the City Council award janitorial services for the airport terminal to Reborn Again Janitorial Services, which submitted the lowest bid at $48,000.
Staff reported there were two bidders; Reborn Again's $48,000 bid covers a one-year contract beginning July 1, 2025, with an option to renew in one-year increments not to exceed five years in total. If renewed each year to the full five-year term, the contract would run through June 30, 2030. Staff said the contract price would be adjusted annually after the first full calendar year to account for inflation.
A commissioner asked who the current contractor is; staff said Reborn Again is the current contractor. The commission moved and seconded a recommendation to the council and approved forwarding the item by unanimous consent; no roll-call tally appeared in the transcript.
The recommendation will be considered by City Council for final award and execution. The commission did not record any additional performance conditions or penalties on the public record during the discussion.
