The Danvers Select Board on May 8 appointed Becky Kilborn as an alternate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Kilborn previously served nearly 15 years on the zoning board and told the Select Board she retired about two and a half years ago and was willing to fill in while the town seeks a permanent member.
Select Board members praised Kilborn’s experience and said she would have a minimal learning curve. A motion to appoint Kilborn passed by voice vote with the board saying “Aye.” Kilborn said she was retired and happy to help.
The appointment fills an alternate vacancy and is intended to maintain ZBA quorum and hearing continuity while recruitment for a regular member continues.
