Administrators gave updates on spring sports, student trips, testing schedules and ongoing evaluation work with a vendor; the business office provided a current reconciliation of district finances.
In the schools update, administration reported three school records broken in track, ongoing spring sports, AP and SAT testing currently underway and an upcoming New Hampshire science exam. Officials described work with an outside vendor (identified as Transcendent in the meeting) on student surveys and data analysis; the presenters said they will review that data and report back in coming months. Administrators also noted in-session and out-of-state trips that had been successful and said in-service hiring work remains active due to retirements and promotions.
The business office reported a reconciled general fund balance of $173,008.39 and described closing some purchase orders to improve accuracy. Staff said they moved some funds into Title I and adjusted utility encumbrances to better reflect expected costs. The presenter also said vocational school funds had been received but might be posted in the wrong ledger and that they would correct the accounting in the next monthly report.
Board members had no substantive public-comment input on the reports during the meeting. No formal action was taken on finances during open session; the business office representative said they would provide corrected ledger postings in the next monthly packet if necessary.
