Public works staff presented an ordinance-closing request for a portion of a utility easement at 10820 South Toledo Avenue in Stonebriar Estates to permit a homeowner’s planned building addition.
A staff representative said the closure request was reviewed with city staff and all utility-rights holders; the city received no objections. The drawing submitted to the committee showed only a portion of the easement being requested for closure; staff said the remaining easement area should still allow future access if needed.
Staff said the applicant (identified on the agenda as Drew Beach) sought the closure to permit additions to a home and that the closure was preferable to the city later having to treat an encroachment. The committee received the presentation and no committee roll-call vote was recorded in the transcript.
