Middletown agency approves $17,000 interior-demolition bid for 7 Genung Street

The Middletown Community Development Agency on April 30, 2025, approved a $17,000 bid from Rebuild Inc. to perform interior demolition at 7 Genung Street as the first step in a planned homeownership rehabilitation.

Maria, the agency—s executive director, updated the board on related housing work: 168 Linden Avenue is under construction; 54 Washington had a recent walkthrough with a potential buyer and the agency is awaiting a possible signed contract. The board approved the finance-committee recommendation to proceed with interior demolition at 7 Genung Street, after which staff said the full rehab will be put out to bid.
