Board adopts three staffing resolutions: nonrenewals, rehiring rescissions and proposed discharges

The Anoka-Hennepin school board voted unanimously on three staffing resolutions presented by the executive director of human resources.
Doctor Jennifer Cherry told the board there were three personnel resolutions before the board. The first asked the board to approve the nonrenewal of probationary teaching contracts for 10 teachers, citing reductions in student enrollment, the district's financial condition and "other appropriate reasons." The board approved that resolution on a roll-call vote of 6–0.
The second resolution rescinded the inclusion of certain teachers’ names in a previously approved resolution terminating probationary teachers; Cherry said the district had an opportunity to hire back 19 newer teachers and recommended rescinding their earlier inclusion. That motion also passed 6–0.
Finally, the board approved a resolution proposing immediate discharge of three continuing-contract teachers pursuant to Minnesota statute referenced by district staff (transcript citation provided in appendix L). Doctor Cherry told the board that the three names were not public under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act; the board approved the resolution on a 6–0 roll call.
Each resolution was presented with the opportunity for questions and a roll‑call vote. The motions were adopted with unanimous votes recorded in the meeting minutes.
