WABASHA — The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners approved a conditional use permit that allows a single-family residence to operate as a lodging establishment, following a recommendation from the Planning Commission.
Planning staff (Joe) summarized the application submitted March 20 by Rick Billings for County Parcel R05.00499.00, located in Section 12, Township 110 North, Range 10 West in Greenfield Township (address recorded in the application). The Planning Commission held a public hearing April 28 and unanimously (4–0) recommended approval subject to four conditions: (1) the use conform to submitted plans and specifications; (2) any expansion requires an amendment to the CUP; (3) all applicable federal, state and county statutes, ordinances, rules and regulations must be observed; and (4) the CUP terminates on transfer of title out of possession of either Marcy or Rick Billings.
A commissioner who had attended the Planning Commission meeting moved to approve the CUP and a colleague seconded. The board voted to approve the CUP; no further conditions or amendments were recorded.
