Users can search a map of services, filter by category, tap entries for contact and location details, call locations directly, and share resources. The team has posted a promotional video, launched QR-code business cards and printed posters for villages with concentrated services.
Why it matters: The project is funded through opioid settlement dollars and has a one-year grant. Staff said the database will be reviewed quarterly (and more often as-needed) so listings remain current, and the vendor will expand features in future phases. The team plans targeted outreach to school superintendents, town boards and service providers and is discussing integration of transportation information (GetThere) with the Broome Health Network.
Technical and privacy details: Amber said the app will collect usage metrics such as download counts and QR-code scans for evaluation but will not require or collect individual user login data. Printed materials (business-card QR codes, postcards, posters and lawn signs) are available for county offices and partners. The presenters asked for feedback from municipal and social-service partners to improve coverage and identify missing services.
Board discussion and next steps: Supervisors asked about grant length and cross-county listings. Staff said a one-year grant is in place and that some out-of-county services that serve Delaware County are already listed; countywide expansion or regional collaboration are possible future steps.
