IT update: district completes internal pentest, readies service‑management platform and supports online testing

Unionville‑Chadds Ford School District information‑technology staff on May 12 told the committee they completed an internal penetration‑test gap analysis and are drafting recommendations for the board in June.
IT Director (presenter) said the district has begun implementing a service‑management platform with early access and that the team is preparing summer project lists. Staff also reported day‑one support for keystone exams and that the district’s one‑to‑one device program, network capacity and proactive testing helped the transition to fully online statewide assessments this year.
A board member praised the technology team’s responsiveness during the first day of keystones, saying technicians were visible throughout the high school and handled issues quickly. Staff said the state required PSSA testing to be fully online and that the district had prepared students and staff with practice modules and device checks.
IT staff said the pentest gap analysis will include a roadmap and risk ratings; staff will present those findings to the board in June.
