Public Works staff (Jake) said the project includes a new waterline and a storm drain replacement from 150 West to 200 East. Rhino Excavating submitted a prequalification packet and references from Mapleton City and Provo City indicated satisfactory performance, staff said.
Staff told the council the water portion of the project is within budget but that the storm drain portion will need a separate budget adjustment; funds can be moved from the stormwater capital-improvement program (CIP) and staff said they plan to return with a budget adjustment in May. Jake said the city will prioritize resident communication and minimize disruptions; work is expected to be local-traffic only with half-street impacts, and staff listed a target completion date of September 1 with a hope to finish by August 1 depending on contractor availability and weather.
