The Planning and Licensing Commission voted to approve a consolidated waiver and acknowledgements form intended to streamline signature requirements for building permits and temporary-dwelling permits.
Commission staff explained the change is primarily procedural: three separate acknowledgements the town previously required on permit applications have been combined into a single page that still captures the same consents and warnings. Colleen, the town's building permit agent, told the commission she adjusted wording in the geologic-hazard paragraph to match the other acknowledgements and combined the documents so applicants need sign only once.
A commissioner moved to untable the agenda item for discussion; commissioners voted to untable, discussed the revised form briefly with staff, then voted to approve the consolidated waiver and acknowledgements form by roll-call. After approval the commission moved to retable the item for the record.
The commission recorded the approval by roll-call (votes recorded in the meeting minutes). Following adoption staff will update the permit packet to include the single-page waiver and acknowledgement and implement it for future permit applications.
