Cindy Hahn, executive director of CNET (Centre County's government and educational access network), presented CNET’s annual report to council. Hahn said staff produced 527 programs in 2024 with a small team and that the organization's membership increased to 17 municipalities/organizations with the recent addition of one member.
Hahn highlighted the rollout of optional closed captioning (available to members at $17 per hour), program chaptering and searchable online archives, and expanded distribution platforms including Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire. She said the borough's meetings represented roughly 14.5% of CNET programming in the most recent five‑year window and noted the organization keeps programs online for an increasing number of months as storage was expanded.
Council members praised CNET’s role in recording public meetings and community events, noting closed captioning and searchable archives improve public access. Hahn said older archived programs are available to the public for a requested $20 donation and that CNET can provide program files in DVD or digital formats upon request.
Council thanked Hahn for the work and for candidate interviews and special program coverage that serve the region’s civic needs.
