The Spokane Valley City Council unanimously approved Ordinance 2055 on May 13 to vacate approximately 4,042 square feet of alley extending north from Appleway Avenue east of Long Road and west of Greenacres Road.
Lori Barlow of Community and Economic Development summarized the matter, saying the planning commission had recommended approval and that required conditions and fees would apply. Barlow told the council this was the council’s final chance to act and that Robert Carroll, one of the property owners who was given direct notice, did not respond.
With no public comment at the meeting on the item (it had been the subject of a prior public hearing), the council voted and the motion passed unanimously.
